Fanfiction

For people having trouble posting in the fanfiction section, I suggest you read the earlier news stories posted which archives how to solve the problem. I highly suggest to use FireFox instead of Internet Explorer. In my opinion, it is a much better web browser and loads a lot faster (especially for my website) and works every time if you want to post a story. DO NOT click the "Preview" button when adding a story. Just click "Add Story". If you have taken all the measures of trying to add a story by the specifics given in this post and the previous ones, but have still been experiencing problems, contact me with the steps you took, the browser you are using, and the messages (if any) that pop up when your story failed to be added.

Fanfiction alignment has, hopefully, been fixed for all web browsers. However, for everyone adding a story, that problem is still pending. It may help if you switch to Firefox. Jennifer, from the chatbox, suggests to check your privacy settings. On Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, click the "Privacy" tab, and set the bar to "Accept all Cookies." Then try posting. By changing your privacy settings, you may be able to post here and other sites that require usernames and passwords.

So I've found yet another problem, though smaller, to fix with this fanfiction section. It seems that the text alignment in this main page is off when you open it in an IE or AOL web browser. I urge many of you to use Firefox. It's the browser I use and it makes everything from my website load faster and function better. Now, I will be trying to fix this alignment anomaly as soon as I understand why it doesn't align in certain browsers. Other than that, let me know if there is anything else that poses as a problem.

So I found an error in one of the pages and fixed it. I had Maecey do a test run and post a story. She was able to, but I have a suspicious feeling that the error was only a partial problem. If may have something to do with the type of web browser you are using. So if you had trouble posting before, try now and see if the problem persists. If it does, then maintenance is still undergoing.

For some strange reason, many members are not able to post their stories. I do not know why that is. I've tried many attempts in figuring out the origin of the problem, but failed to find the answer. I am currently looking for help in the eFiction.org support forums. Hopefully someone will have the answer to the problem there. I will keep you guys updated. In the mean time, you can post fanfic recommendations in the forum.

There is automatic validation, so there is no wait for your story or chapter to get posted. I hope you guys like the layout. New skins (layout switches) for this archive will be available in good time. Other than that, I will be working on more website features and music videos since this fanfiction section is, for the most part, finished.
